OUR STORY

Since 1968, drama has come to be a vital part of St Peter’s Anglican Church. Since we began St. Peter's Players has provided members and non-members of the church with an opportunity be a part of an amateur theatre group.

Members of all ages have been active in a wide variety of performances. We have produced productions in many different genres, including musicals, one act plays, dramas, murder mysteries, comedies and even some Shakespeare. The majority of our productions take place on the main stage of the auditorium (now named the Cormack Hall) while others have been included within the services at St. Peter's Anglican Church.

In addition to the performances within the church, we have been involved with organizations such as the Breast Cancer Foundation and the Alzheimer Society and have performed on behalf of both throughout Alberta as a part of their attempts to keep the public informed and to solicit some charitable donations.

We have maintained a total volunteer format and no participant has ever received compensation for their very generous contributions of time and talent. Some years ago we helped to raise enough money to have a stained glass window installed at St. Peter's Anglican Church, which was dedicated to all those who have made artistic contributions to St Peter’s. The church is in the process of installing a second window, funded partially by St. Peter's Players — this one dedicated to all volunteers of the church.
